Making Friends with Food
We opened our first Doraku Sushi location over 20 years ago in Miami Beach, Florida. Doraku Sushi is a restaurant, bar and gathering place that celebrates Japanese food, drink, and hospitality. The experience is modeled after an Izakaya, or Japanese gastropub and features food meant to be shared and experienced in the company of others. The decor embraces Japanese works of art, styles and culture. It’s a place to have fun with friends or to unwind after a long day at work.

Doraku is a modern Japanese izakaya rooted in traditional techniques and shaped by global influences. Our menu brings together thoughtfully sourced fish, classic Japanese flavors, and house sauces with a contemporary approach. Designed by Kevin Aoki, the space reflects the same philosophy, blending handmade Indonesian wood tables, traditional sake barrels, and Japanese-inspired details. From the food to the design, every element is considered—creating a distinct Doraku experience designed to transport you beyond the plate.
